I am Aen Tan, a freelance art director from Singapore.

I have worked with various professionals ranging from individual web application developers to full-fledged advertising agencies. With this circle of professional knowledge and skills as a central resource, I am able to employ the relevant expertise to effectively fit the job on hand.

More about me

Ever since I was a kid, I have always been doodling with whatever pen, pencil and paper I could get my hands on. I guess I carried this passion of creativity to my teen and adulthood and ventured into the digital realm when I got my first personal computer.

When in the mood, I paint, ink and sketch. My background is in the fine arts. I’m probably better with charcoal and ink than with a keyboard and mouse. Compared to electronics, natural and traditional media is just livelier and more expressive.

Modus Operandi

I work on both the PC and Mac, on a messy desk. At this moment, I have an extra Apple Keyboard, my wallet, some internet bills, project documentation papers, a torch light, my digital camera on the right side of my desk. On my left, I have my daily dose of Coca Cola, junk food, some internet banking device, papers, a font catalog, remote controls. On top of my 19 inch CRT monitor, I have more project papers, my stationery case, mobile phone charger. I’m a messy person, I need to be messy to think. Tidiness and order is unnatural and inhibits mental activity.

I’m into the ambience, electronica and neo-cyber-punk-romantica genre of sounds. I don’t know how to describe them so I’ll just list out some music that I like.
