We are thin wooden sticks

Men with power has throughout history, demonstrated merciless acts of inflicting terror on the innocent and powerless, for gain and more power. With the advancement of technology, human lives have improved. We now live longer, but we are also ironically more easily killed. Our lives lies in the hands of those above us, those above the human race, those with power. And in the hands of these people are tools capable of destroying human life made possible by the very technological and scientific advancements that gave us our improved lives.

“Life is so fragile. We are just like thin wooden sticks in the hands of those armed with terrible weapons, easily broken with a twist of the finger.”

This blog post has nothing to do with design nor my creative work. I had asked myself this question, “Life is so fragile. Aren’t we just like thin wooden sticks in the hands of those armed with terrible weapons, easily broken with a twist of the finger.” That is eaxctly the feelings that had left me feeling much disturbed for the last week and probably will for the rest of my life, after I came across content from the internet on nuclear weapons, Chernobyl, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Customizing the FeedBurner Chicklet with CSS

FeedCount is a cool way to promote your feeds. It is a dynamic graphic that always displays your feed’s current circulation, as calculated by FeedBurner. Many bloggers today use the FeedCount chicklet to display how many readers have subscribed to their RSS feeds, if their feeds are handled by FeedBurner.

Happy 2007. Best Wishes

Vivi and I were at Marina Square in the evening few hours ago and caught “Death Note 2, The Last Name” at GV. It was a battle of wits to the death and L was victorious. No spoilers, don’t worry. I’ll leave it to you to watch. It is a really good show. We caught the 9PM show which ended at 11:30PM, just in time to watch some fireworks, which we missed last year. I took some pictures, but the quality is really bad. The place we were standing was not a particularly good spot. It was already packed and we barely had floor space to put our feets on. It was that crowded. Realizing my Cybershot had video capabilities, I recorded some video instead and they turned out pretty nice. Read further to check out the shaky but nice footage of this years Marina/Esplanade fireworks.

Link Love shall spread like a Virus

After an exposure to the “Link Love” virus at Design Sojourn, I got infected and became a vector. An infected blog generally shows the symptoms of an acute outbreak of hyperlinks and a detectable rise in the blog’s Technorati rankings. The virus affects typically Z-list blogs and there are currently no known cure. Please refrain from reading this post to avoid infection.

Tips on Moonlighting for Part-time Freelancers

I used to work in an agency and freelanced at the same time. Now I’m freelancing full-time.

It’s good to be organized. At work, I keep notes, drawings, etc (printed, written) for each project and arranged them nicely. When I go to the office, I can start working on things without much fiddling around.
