Vivi and I could not decide where we want to go. Singapore is so boring and dull. In the end we decided to get some nice food and shoot some photos at Orchard Road’s hustle and bustle.
Our favorite is Japanese and Takashimaya S.C. has a few good Japanese restaurants. After going over menus of some of them, almost succumbing to the temptation of a S$200 Sashimi Moriawase set and laughing at Tonkichi’s pork laden menu, we ended up at Sushi Tei. We requested for a table and thus waited for nearly half an hour during which our stomach acids did their eating, of our stomachs. Our turn finally came and we did not hesitate to order our favorites. Here are some of the stuff we ordered.

I have been contemplating on which phone I should get to replace my dreaded pink Motorola L6 mobile phone. The two phones on my list was of course the popular Apple iPhone and the LG Prada (KE850) phone. Both have touch interfaces as I have developed a love for non-conventional user interfaces.
In the end I succumbed to the allure of the Prada and gave one to myself as a Christmas present. I have to say that the only exposure to the LG Prada I had was on Design Sojourn’s blog and Engadget. There is so little news of the Prada phone compared to the loud hype of the iPhone. Maybe it was the mysterious silence of the Prada that attracted me.

The double spread ad I designed for SingaporeBrides Wedding Fashion is in December’s issue of Her World Brides which hit the news stands on Thursday. It has been a long while since I designed for print. I put in a bit of extra effort in this. I even kerned the credits copy on the upper left corner of the page.
Here are some photos I took earlier. What do you think?

Men with power has throughout history, demonstrated merciless acts of inflicting terror on the innocent and powerless, for gain and more power. With the advancement of technology, human lives have improved. We now live longer, but we are also ironically more easily killed. Our lives lies in the hands of those above us, those above the human race, those with power. And in the hands of these people are tools capable of destroying human life made possible by the very technological and scientific advancements that gave us our improved lives.
“Life is so fragile. We are just like thin wooden sticks in the hands of those armed with terrible weapons, easily broken with a twist of the finger.”
This blog post has nothing to do with design nor my creative work. I had asked myself this question, “Life is so fragile. Aren’t we just like thin wooden sticks in the hands of those armed with terrible weapons, easily broken with a twist of the finger.” That is eaxctly the feelings that had left me feeling much disturbed for the last week and probably will for the rest of my life, after I came across content from the internet on nuclear weapons, Chernobyl, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Read on.
