Tachikoma Snap
If you are fan of Ghost in the Shell, you will love this. I got this link from the official GITS Japanese site. It’s a collection of links of Tachikoma Polaroid “snaps” (photos) depicting Tachikoma in various scenarios, e.g. in the park, in a traffic jam, feeding pigeons, etc.
Check it out: Tachikoma Snap

It could do with better 3D though…

Yep, the finish is a little too clean. But the shadows seem allright.

It looks more like Appleseed kind of 3D than Final Fantasy standard.
The idea’s great though. I really miss the Tachikomas. I wonder if their ghosts are still on the net. Have you watched Solid State Society? It seems Motoko gathered a bunch of Tachikomas resembling the ones who sacrificed themselves in 2nd Gig.
Batou was calling the new replacements “useless tin cans” Ha ha!

Dont think so. I tot the 3 that sac themselves was at the end of SAC not 2nd gig, to protect the Major and support Batou?

Not that one, in S.A.C. they didn’t die.
During the finale of 2nd GIG, while ordered to create a repository in cyberspace for the memories (and hopefully, ghosts) of all refugees of Dejima, they secured instead their own memories within the netspace and selflessly sacrificed their AI satellite to prevent a nuclear explosion, by guiding their satellite into the course of a nuclear missile. Proto, knows what’s happening and says he’d swear they had ghosts right before the satellite and missile make impact.

[…] This week is not only about fixing errors. I experimented with tricks and code I learned from wordpress.org and other sites. So far I added a Error 404 page (you can try going to http://aendirect.com/fake-broken-link/ to see it in action), a top search option (click search at the top of the page to access a sliding Ajax shelf containing the search form), integrated coComments into the commenting system and wrote some articles on Web Design Copyright Infringement, Tachikoma Snaps and Beautiful Peripherals […]

Well base on the 2nd series and the movie solid state. Most of the Tachikoma did died. Only one Tachikoma manage to survive. all the other reconstitution of fragment data. You can tell when you watch the part in the movie when a zipping through the sewer. One spoke about remembering how it feel to be in a body, while the other don’t have memory of it. also how only one survive is base on the Tachikoma days, it’s the last episode of 2nd gig.

Sorry about the last post, I got caught in the moment. After looking at the pictures on the site; I think it isn’t a 3D program. I think they use a real Tachikoma model and use a photoshop like program.
