Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, this must be the most accurate personality test online.
I found this test while editing my profile on StumbleUpon. I took the test and it was very accurate. The evaluation described me almost perfectly. The link to the test is at the bottom of the post.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality questionnaire designed to identify certain psychological differences according to the typological theories of Carl Gustav Jung as published in his 1921 book Psychological Types (English edition, 1923). The original developers of the indicator were Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers. They began developing the indicator during World War II, believing that a knowledge of personality preferences would help the women who were entering the industrial workforce for the first time to identify the sort of war-time jobs where they would be “most comfortable and effective.”
According to the test I took, I am the INTP (Wikipedia link) type. INTP stands for “Introverted iNtuitive Thinking Perceiving”.
INTP - “Architect”. Greatest precision in thought and language. Can readily discern contradictions and inconsistencies. The world exists primarily to be understood. 3.3% of total population.
INTP
The ones I highlighted are what describe me.
loner, more interested in intellectual pursuits than relationships or family, wrestles with the meaninglessness of existence, likes esoteric things, disorganized, messy, likes science fiction, can be lonely, observer, private, can’t describe feelings easily, detached, likes solitude, not revealing, unemotional, rule breaker, avoidant, familiar with the darkside, skeptical, acts without consulting others, does not think they are weird but others do, socially uncomfortable, abrupt, fantasy prone, does not like happy people, appreciates strangeness, frequently loses things, acts without planning, guarded, not punctual, more likely to support marijuana legalization, not prone to compromise, hard to persuade, relies on mind more than on others, calm
According to Wikipedia’s article, an insulted INTP has a tendency to unveil their full mastery of logical intuition. Many previously self-assured individuals have withered under the full brunt of an INTP’s tirade of sharply edged, piercing remarks, which frequently do not fall short of the person’s every weakness and hidden fault. That explains why I am such a habitual online flamer and I can always find words to win an argument.
INTP Favored Careers
The ones I highlighted are what I am or thought of doing at some point in my life.
philosopher, game designer, scientist, software engineer, freelance artist, research scientist, assassin, freelance writer, physicist, software developer, mathematician, geologist, computer scientist, philosophy professor, webmaster, slacker, medical researcher, painter, mortician, systems analyst, comic book artist, computer technician, website designer, scholar, archaeologist, computer repair, forensic anthropologist, astronaut, researcher, historian, systems engineer, genetics researcher, astronomer, environmental scientist, egyptologist (what’s this?)

Hello from a fellow INTP! To answer your question, an Egyptologist is an archaeologist who specializes in ancient Egyptian culture and civilization. I wanted to be one when I was about 7 or 8 years old - I remember learning to read and write hieroglyphics and enjoying it very much. I went to music school instead, though!

I wanted to be a paleontologist when I was 9 or 10. Dinosaurs was a major fascination then.
I was at one point interested in hieroglyphics too when my teacher presented stuff on Roswell Area 51.
Are you still in music school?

No, I graduated in 1989, which makes me pretty old! :)
