Switching to Dreamhost (Complete)
I have just switch to a new web hosting provider called Dreamhost and the transfer will take place throughout today and tomorrow. While I’m moving the site, AEN DIRECT will be down until the DNS propagates. In the meantime please direct all emails to aeon.tan@gmail.com.
The switch is complete and I have successfully transferred AEN DIRECT over to Dreamhost. The DNS propagated to my ISP in Singapore rather quickly, within half a day to be precise. I am happy to have made the move from Focushub who have once again proved to me that I should move. Not only the web hosting service didn’t meet my needs, the service was also unsatisfactory and I don’t like to be treated like an idiot.
AEN DIRECT is officially hosted on Dreamhost from today and I am proud to be hosted on a green server, which mean the server is Carbon Neutral.
The move should mean faster load times for international users and a more reliable website. Let me know how’s the site, load times, responsiveness, etc.
My chosen Dreamhost plan: L1 Crazy Domain Insane!
Diskspace: 148.8 GB (1523.71 times of my Focushub plan)
Bandwidth: 1.488 TB (152.4 times of my Focushub plan)
MySQL Databases: Unlimited (My Focushub plan had 999)
PHP 4 & 5 (My Focushub plan lacked PHP 5 support)
Ruby on Rails
24hr Email Support
97-days Money-back Guarantee (Focushub didn’t have any)
Posting comment, please wait…

Hmm i’ve been thinking of changing my hosting as well. However do you know if the server is accessible from China and most countries in asia. In fact many servers in the US are ip banned from said countries.

I’m not sure. If they can’t view my site it’s their loss. Haha!
