Where can you find designers, artists, musicians and photographers hanging out on a Sunday afternoon? Where can you find original art pieces, fashion, events, exhibitions in a place that is a creative environment, a great place to shop and a MUSEUM!? If you are interested, check this out.

Information taken from their media kits.
MAAD Sunday is essentially a recurring Sunday market for original works, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. We provide a platform for artists and designers to test the viability of their products and sell them to appreciative buyers. Due to this nature, it becomes a gathering of like-minded individuals improving the quality of their work and an alternative weekend shopping attraction. An infusion of arts and design into the Singapore cultural scene, we have presented.

Objectives
We want to create a ready market for original creative works, as well as a safe and effective platform for artists and designers to test and sell their creative works. And in doing this, we connect artists, designers and everyone else. We strive to invigorate the creative environment in Singapore and to build a more pro-creative culture. Last but not least, this is an alternative weekend shopping and outing experience with the aim of educating Singaporeans to appreciate the works and talents of our local artists and designers.

The MAAD Factors
We are the only original design and artworks market in Singapore just yet. And we do not mean it to be a one-time stint. It goes on, rain or shine, every Sunday. More importantly, this is a grassroots initiative to promote the arts and creative entrepreneurship. Famous and qualified curators are invited to ensure that MAAD has a certain originality and creativity standard. MAAD Sunday is held in the prestigious red dot design museum, and is a good opportunity for emerging artists and designers to build their portfolio and reputation. Initially, 80 to 100 participants will have their own space customized by their desired set-up, but as time goes by, the number will grow to a targeted 300 participants, thus promising visitors of regular stalls as well as new additions.

Activities
Stalls for creative work by artist, graphic & street artist, product designers, fashion designers and even photographers will be the highlight of the event, as well as a performance or demonstration by the artists and designers every week. Possibilities include an architect building a model home, a composer singing his self-compositions, Sarkasi Said painting batik on the spot, a screening of short films or even a photographer sharing photography tips. A design and art clinic and an exhibition by local and visiting artists and designers to showcase their achievements are also in the works. F&B outlets at red dot Traffic will also be offering various promotions in conjunction.
