I think it’s the same for Vista. When you let idiots handle the design of something, it becomes this. (Video inside)
So much for simplicity. It speaks more for the company (Microsoft) rather than the product.
Microsoft is always about the company, never the product… well almost never. The MS Optical Wheel Mouse I’m using is one of the best I’ve ever used. It’s an old model. The newer Intellimouse models are all crap though.
